Questions: November 10, 2014
How is the language
coming? People ask me how you are doing all the time and most ask how the
language is coming. Chris Kohler asked a couple weeks ago and he said
that around the 5 month mark is where it finally clicks.
The language is coming really
well. I can talk to people pretty much about whatever.
Did
you get the package with your new sandals (for the shower) and backpack? Its your birthday
box so I hope it gets there in time. : ) I sent your Christmas box
yesterday (Sat). : ) Sis Singh said she’s sending another package
for Christmas. Please let me know when you get it and don’t forget to
email her a thank-you!
I haven’t got the package yet but if I do I will probably get it
this week with zone conference coming up
How
is the teaching going? Do you spend a lot of time re-activating those who
have forgotten or teaching new people?
Teaching, we spend a lot of time visiting less actives as well as
teaching new investigators
Food…other
than empanadas and cow liver, how is it? Can you get milk
and eggs? I thought about sending some cereal but didn’t know if you
can get milk. I hope you can get eggs because you’ll need them for your
birthday cake : )
Food, we eat a lot of meat. They have super markets here where you can
pretty much buy anything. I can buy eggs,
milks, cereal and lots of other good stuff. I’m learning how to make a lot of Paraguayan
specialties too.
Money…have
you been budgeting? Are things fairly cheap there? It might
help if, when you get your $$ each month, divide that by how many weeks
in the month ($400 divided by 4 weeks = $100 a week). Maybe you’re
already doing this but if not, it might help make it easier.
Money, I hate to break it to you but this mission doesn’t give out
400$ a month. haha we get about two hundred but it’s going good. If you could, we have been told to buy hats to
wear in the sun so if you could put some money on my card so that I could do
that, that would be great.
How
is your new area? You said the people are more humble and nicer then the
other place. Elder Fielding’s mom sent me some photos of you guys before
the transfer. You were with a cute little family, lifting a darling
little girl off the ground. It was beautiful. Her face was pure
joy! So was yours!!
New area, eh. . .it’s good. We need to connect with and teach people better and not just teach the lessons.
