This week went pretty darn well, not a whole lot happened but just enough to make it a good week. First of all, we have been killing it on our numbers this week. We contacted 76 people each and a lot of them turned into really great lessons, a lot of good new investigators. I also have been thinking a lot about what I want to do after the mission and where I want to go in life, let me tell you, the mission sure does make your rethink your priorities. haha
Well this week was a little bit different. It rained. . . a lot! And whoever built our house, wasn't the smartest. haha Our house defianately turned into a pond, super fun though! I got to wear rain boots with slacks. haha #win
Every Sunday, we have lunch with the Burgos family, they are a part member family and they are really awesome. They feed us a ton of food including asado (basically just a bunch of meat) and sopa (definitely a Paraguayan specialty that's really just dense corn bread). They also have all sorts of animals, my personal favorite is their parrot, hopefully i can get a picture with it sometime, but after we ate lunch, we were kind of just chillin, talking about life and one of the twins, who is about 12 years old, was laying on the ground kind of taking a nap. One of their many birds walked over to him and probably one of the strangest things I've ever seen happened, the kid opened his mouth and the bird honestly started picking the food out from in between his teeth. haha how funky is that??
haha it was super weird but also something that I'll remember for a while.
That was defiantly the highlight of my week so far. haha Everything is good here in Paraguay. I'm learning to love everything about it down here. It certainly does help that I can speak the language better now than before, I'm sure its just going to get better. : )
i miss you all so much and love you even more.
Love elder Petersen
